Rockingham in West Wellow is a beautiful and atmospheric place with charming decor. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The soup of the day was a creamy mushroom soup – rich, flavorful, and topped with fresh pea shoots and a drizzle of olive oil. It was served with a small piece of butter and a warm, slightly crispy bread roll on the side – a lovely touch. The grilled asparagus with whipped feta looked truly majestic on the plate. The creamy feta was topped with fresh salad leaves and perfectly grilled asparagus, finished with a light glaze. Everything was prepared with great attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The only comments made to me after the meal, were that the vegetables could have been cooked a bit more. Everything else was perfect. The amount of food, the service, the ambience and the effort of The Rockingham Arms to cater for such a large party was superb. Thank you Jake and your team for making our day special.

We went for a lunch as we are staying locally. Its my birthday and fancied fish and chips in the sun. Well that was delivered! The fish was beautiful. Crispy and fluffy inside. My husband had the belly pork , it was tender with lovely crackling on it. We complimented the chef as having worked in the industry ourselves. Going to recommend to everyone that is coming to the new forest. We will be back soon.

We were visiting the new forest with our dog and found this stunning pub through social media. Top rated roast and a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back again when we're next down

Our first visit was a delight! Just stumbled on the Rockingham as a half way point to meet friends and we had a great time. Really super lunch with fabulous food and very relaxed which we truly enjoyed. And then a very relaxed amble along the tracks beind the restaurant ... wonderful. Until next time, thank you all.

We went to The Rockingham Arms after seeing a post on instagram, the Roast dinner was in my husbands words “the best ever” (no offence taken!). I will agree it was superb!

We stopped here for lunch on a New Forest bike ride and had a lovely sunny lunch in the garden. Pint of Flack's Sunshine Session IPA (local Romsey brewery), vegan ciabatta, halloumi fries with spicy mayo and pomegranate salad, kid's chicken goujons with fries, and a club sandwich with triple fried chunky chips. All absolutely delicious and service was friendly and prompt. A wonderful place to visit during a trip to the New Forest, with bags of local character. We even saw wild donkeys and Shetland ponies roaming on the road outside! Magical.
